The Spin Summit rents out the entire venue, including Cabins, Yurts, Camping, a Dining Hall, Indoor workshop spaces (Inglis Hall, Ponderosa Lodge), Outdoor workshop spaces, a Labyrinth, and a High Ropes Course.

 

Nestled in the heart of Black Forest, La Foret is surrounded by 400+ acres of majestic ponderosa pines with a stunning view of Pikes Peak and the rugged Rocky Mountains!

 

Please be conscious of the venue's conservation plan:

* Bring water bottles and reusable mugs, to help reduce trash
* Please turn off lights and equipment when not being used, close doors and windows
* Thermostats are located in the cabins. If cold: open your bedroom doors, wear layered clothing, come prepared with extra blankets, ensure the fireplace flue is closed

 

The unique, outdoor Labyrinth located between Blue Spruce and the fire circle is available for use by everyone - take the trail down to the start and enjoy


LODGING OPTION #1: CABINS
* Sleeps 10 to 18 people per cabin
* Multiple cabins located around a large central outdoor
* May request your friends as roommates in the same cabin
* Multiple bedrooms, 1-2 bathrooms, 1 common area with fireplace
* Night owls will be paired together where possible
* Early risers will be paired together where possible
* No Kitchen, No Food Storage, Outside Food is welcome and OK
* The administration cabin is the only one with a kitchen for instructors
* No smoking inside cabins
* No linens are provided - bring a sleeping bag & pillow - bring extras to help keep everyone warm
* Linens can be rented from the venue for $20 (Linens include: sheets, pillowcase, towel, washcloth, pillow, mattress pad and blankets)

 

LODGING OPTION #2: YURTS

* 1 yurt sleeps 12 people
* Multiple yurts in the village
* All bunk beds
* Sunlight Dome at the top of each yurt
* Bathrooms/Shower building is separate from yurts
* Longest walk to get to the main workshop areas
* No Kitchen, No Food Storage, Outside Food is welcome and OK
* No smoking inside yurts
* No linens are provided - bring a sleeping bag & pillow - bring extras to help keep everyone warm
* Linens can be rented from the venue for $20 (Linens include: sheets, pillowcase, towel, washcloth, pillow, mattress pad and blankets)

 

LODGING OPTION #3: TENTS

* Bring your own tent to set up, please share with friends when possible (cuddle = warmth)

* The primary camping area is down next to the Yurt Village. This gives campers access to the public shower building with sinks, bathrooms, and power.

* The secondary camping area is behind Inglis Hall, for the vendors. There is no shower access for this camping area. There is a shared bathroom inside Inglis Hall.

* Bring Extra Blankets! Bring a Sleeping Pad, Air Mattress, etc. Be Prepared!!

 

FOOD & MEALS
* Outside food is welcome and encouraged
* Ponderosa Lodge and Inglis Hall have community refridgerators
* A Venue Meal Plan is available for purchase, served for 45 mins in the Dining Hal
* Balcony attached to Dinning Hall to eat outside, overlooking the main outdoor spinning space
* A local food vendor will also be available

 

SPIN SPACES
* INGLIS HALL: 200 person inside venue with tall ceilings, a stage with audio & visual, outdoor fire pits, and trail to the labyrinth, music all night, free coffee & tea, the late night spin space with late night DJ's, and Stage for performance showcase


* PONDEROSA LODGE: <100 person two story log cabin space for Registration and Workshops


* OUTDOOR FIELD: large, flat, open, centric to all of the cabins, music outside until 10pm

 

* OUTDOOR LABYRINTH: with fire pit & fire spinning - maybe Renegade Show

 

* YURT VILLAGE STABLES: outdoor space, near the yurt village - maybe Renegade Show

Carpool! There are many out of state people that are looking for local ride share help. This is a great way to connect with local and global community!

ARRIVE ON SITE: THURSDAY at 11AM

Upon site arrival, find the check-in location inside the back room of Ponderosa Lodge


At check in, please:

* Get a wrist band
* Fill out and sign the liability release form
* Get cabin/yurt/tent area name & location
* Look at the workshop schedule
* Make any outstanding payments
* Write an Intention or Word on the group tandem hoop


* Donate an item to the Silent Auction supporting Instructors
* Express interest to perform in the renegade show
* Sign up for Fire Spinning (with insurance &/or waiver)
* Add-on Private Lessons

* Visit the Vending Village inside the Dining Hall

* Visit the Healing Village next to the Labyrinth

 

DEPART SITE: BY SUNSET ON SUNDAY

Be out of the cabins & yurts by 11am on Sunday
Informal Closing Circle at Noon
Depart venue by sundown


At check out:
* If you rented linens, leave them in the main room of your cabin
* Close windows, turn off lights in cabins and yurts
* Pick up trash - Leave no trace
* Return any borrowed items
* Make any outstanding payments
* Please have your belongings packed out and be checked out of your cabin by 10am (workshops will continue all day)

To get the most out of your experience, come prepared!

Arrive early and depart late. Use your time to acclimate to the elevation and try different experiences in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

 

If flying, we recommend you arrive Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Optional outdoor spin jam in Golden Wednesday afternoon (weather pending).

Optional indoor Boulder Circus Jam at the Boulder Circus Center from 8-11pm on Wednsday night ($5 entry).

The Spin Summit event is from Thursday to Sunday.
